Signalling one of the most mouth-watering deals in video game licensing, specialists in Japanese cuisine, The Sushi Shop has entered into an exclusive and limited-edition collaboration with the iconic video game brand, Tetris to deliver collector edition sushi boxes and chopsticks.
Featuring shapes and colours of the retro game’s iconic Tetriminos, the partnership is yet another move in Tetris’ ongoing 35th anniversary celebrations this year. Meanwhile, The Sushi Shop has made it its mission since 1998 to be Europe’s most innovative name in the culinary.
From this April, Sushi Shop will introduce a limited, collector’s edition of sushi boxes and chopsticks inspired by Tetris with each featuring the shapes and colours of the game’s iconic Tetriminos. Tetris Sushi Boxes will consist of three styles to choose from, with each shaped as a different Terimino and filled with a 42-piece sushi combination.
The Tetris Chopsticks will feature Tetrimino designs and will be priced at €2.90 when bought with a sushi box, or €4.90 on their own.
“Over the years, we’ve seen fans post amazing Tetris-inspired sushi creations online, but Sushi Shop is taking it to a whole other level,” said Maya Rogers, president and CEO of Blue Planet Software, the sole agent for the Tetris brand.
