Unilever UK has secured a new partnership with Kinnerton, which will see its Magnum, Cornetto and Mini Milk brands launched into the chocolate sector.
The new lines will be available from this month, with the launch backed with a hefty marketing campaign, including outdoor advertising.
"We’re delighted to announce our exciting new licensing partnership with leading confectionery supplier, Kinnerton," said Julie McCleave, head of licensing at Unilever UK. "We are confident that bringing Unilever’s iconic ice cream brands – Magnum, Cornetto and Mini Milk – to market in a confectionary format will be a winning combination for retailers."
Rachel Wyatt, Kinnerton’s marketing director, added: "We tested the range with consumers and both the concept and product delivery scored extremely highly. In fact, the scores that we received were amongst the highest that we’ve ever seen.
"We’re confident that launching Magnum, Cornetto and Mini Milk chocolates into the UK Chocolate Count Line category for the first time will create consumer excitement and drive sales for the category."
