Thorpe Park welcomes I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! maze

ITV has teamed with Thorpe Park to bring a I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! maze to the Surrey-based theme park.

The new attraction, set to open on March 27th, features challenges such as searching dark crevices for stars, entering the Chambers Of Horror shower cubicles with some slimy surprises and braving the Celebrity Cyclone which involves battling 56mph winds and water jets.

Visitors will watch recorded briefings from presenters Ant and Dec along the way and the maze includes multi-sensory technology that gives the feeling of bugs crawling over you and mocks up an unstable walkway to take fans into camp.

“After 13 years of watching I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on the small screen, we’re delighted to offer our guests the chance to brave Bush Tucker Trials inspired by the hit TV show," said Mike Vallis, divisional director at Thorpe Park.

“The good news is that we don’t expect any of our guests to chew on a kangaroo’s less palatable parts.”

Claire Heys, director of commercial brand partnerships at ITV, added: “We’re thrilled to be able to bring the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Maze to the public and give them a chance to share in the fun we have on the set.

“Thorpe Park Resort is the perfect location to bring the hit series to life and we’re excited to be working with Merlin to launch the new attraction.”
