Those Licensing People named UK and EU licensing agents for Olobob Top

Those Licensing People has just signed a new deal to manage the UK and European licensing programme for the popular CBeebies series, Olobob Top.

The UK animation studio Beakus has named Those Licensing People the new licensing representatives for the pre-school series narrated by the British actor Stephen Mangan.

The series focuses on nurturing children’s creative talents and follows the adventures of Tib, Lalloo and Bobble as they build new characters from the shapes that make up their Olobob world.

The show has reportedly already seen “great success” since its launch in July last year, with millions of views on BBC iPlayer in its first year and a place in the Top Ten CBeebies show five times out of its first six weeks. The second series of Olobob Top is currently in production and is due to be released on CBeebies in Spring 2019.

Leah Dever, licensing manager at Those Licensing People, said: “Olobob Top is such a visually striking series and so unlike anything currently available in the pre-school market and we couldn’t possibly miss out on the opportunity to be involved in developing such an exciting brand.”

Steve Smith, the series’ director and producer, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Those Licensing People. The instant we met, we knew they were the right partner for our creative, bright and imaginative show. We look forward to collaborating on Olobob Top.”

It has already secured a publishing deal with Bloomsbury. Those Licensing People will now be looking to extend the brand into plush, toys, arts and crafts and paper goods.
