Thousands of counterfeit goods seized in TRAP’s latest London crack down

Authorities working across London have seized thousands of bootleg products depicting famous music artists, in the latest crack down operation.

Trademark and Rightsholders Against Piracy, a collective of rights holders and publishers for some of the biggest names in music, film and TV has teamed with the City of Westminster Trading Standards to stamp out the issue of counterfeit goods sold with the UK’s capital.

As part of the Westminster Zero tolerance operation, several locations were raided in and around Shaftesbury Avenue with thousands of counterfeit merchandise seized ahead of the Christmas period.

The result is the latest success story for TRAP who has been working with Trading Standards to carry out enforcements on retail outlets in Central London locations including Oxford Street, Leicester Square, Shaftesbury Avenue and Queensway.

Counterfeit goods such as music artist merchandise, t-shirts, hoodies, mobile phone covers and calendars are among the products to have been seized in the latest operation.
