Thunderbirds Are Go picks up pace in North and South America

ITV Studios Global Entertainment is growing the reach of its hit boys’ action series Thunderbirds Are Go into North and South America.

The studio has appointed Kasmanas as its licensing agent in Brazil where it will build a dedicated consumer products programme for the brand to support its broadcast debut on the kids’ channel Gloob this July.

Meanwhile, the animated series made its US debut on Amazon Prime in April. Merchandise launched on Amazon’s retail site this month including flagship toy lines including figures, crafts, play-sets and the Tracy Island.

“As the licensing community gears up to international Licensing Expo, we are proud to share details of the significant headway we have recently made with Thunderbirds Are Go in North and South America,” said Trudi Hayward, SVP, head of global merchandise for ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

“These key developments underpin the show’s outstanding global appeal as the International Rescue team continues to capture not only the imaginations of licensees, agents and retailers, but most crucially of young fans around the world.”

ITVS GE has now sold the show into over 40 markets across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East. Season two is set to hit screens from Q4 2016, with a third season slated for release in 2017.
