Tilly and Friends enters digital arena with first gaming app

Popular CBeebies television series, Tilly and Friends is entering the digital space, with the launch of its first gaming app for pre-schoolers.

Walker Productions – the production arm of Walker Books – has teamed with Daredevil Development to create the new app game.

Featuring an array of characters from the series, the app allows kids to lay along with Tilly, Pru, tumpty, Doodle, Hector and tiptoe in a series of 32 mini games, spanning educational, creative, memory and action play.

The app also features artwork from the show as well as the voice of Alex Kelly, who plays Tilly as she encourages and guides players through each game.

Games featured in the app include find Tilly, Stop Tiptoe, Don’t Crash, Trumpty’s Box, Spell My Name, What’s Biggest, Simple Sums, Dressing Up, Balloon Pop, ABC and more.

Daredevil Development has already built a reputation in the pre-school app market, having worked on brands including Paddington Bear, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, Bob the Builder and Postman Pat.

“We fell in love with the art style and storytelling of both the books and the TV series and it was a pleasure to bring the creations to the app game format,” said david Mowbray, daredevil Development principal.

“There is a wealth of content and stories to explore. We could have easily made 64 games, such was the depth of the content we found.”
