Tinderbox and 5th Wave Brands on the lookout for Badland licensing partners

Beanstalk’s digital division Tinderbox and digital specialist agency 5th Wave Brands are developing a consumer products programme for award-winning action adventure game, Badland.

Tinderbox will support 5th Wave Brands in pursuing global licensing opportunities for Badland, as well as build the programme in the UK.

“Badland is simply stunning; its visuals alone qualify it to compete with long-standing entertainment properties," said Dan Amos, head of new media at Tinderbox.

"The spectacular graphics, the rich, developing story as well as an incredibly addictive play mechanic, make it perfect for extension into physical consumer products.

"We are very excited to be working with 5th Wave Brands on further expanding such a promising entertainment property.”

Heikki Laaninen, managing director at 5th Wave Brands, added: “Badland is a great example of what’s happening in the mobile game field in Finland.

"The game is simply one of the most beautiful and exciting mobile properties out there. It won Apple Design and iPad Game of the Year Awards in 2013, which really underlines its popularity. We are thrilled to start working with the like-minded people of Tinderbox to further build the brand through consumer products.”
