The Top Gear Track Experience is to officially open at the home of the popular TV studio and test track.
The exclusive licence has been awarded by BBC Worldwide to TGXP and the event programme has been developed by Brandscape’s team of driving experience specialists.
It will open to the public on August 27th and events will be held throughout the year.
Guests will arrive to an authentic replica of the Top Gear studio, complete with presenters’ chairs and displays of the vehicles featured on the TV show. Onto the driving, and guests can choose from a number of ambitious challenges.
Aside from the Reasonably Priced Car, there are hot hatch challenges, fast laps with pro-drivers and even with The Stig himself, and off-road challenges (including one for 11 to 17 year olds).
For the first time, guests will be able to set a time around the Top Gear Test Track in the Kia Cee’d. First they’ll learn their lines by playing virtual racers which feature a digital version of the track, before heading onto the real thing alongside an experienced driving instructor.
Lap times will be added to the leaderboard in the replica studio – and on the Top Gear Track Experience website – so drivers can see how they rank alongside the celebrities who have appeared on the TV show.

"As such, these will not be conventional track days but will see guests driving 4x4s around a specially built course while being fired upon by a tank, having their faces distorted by high performance Ariel Atoms and learning stunt driving in a Hot Hatch Challenge."
