Tree Fu Tom signs new partners in Middle East, France and Brazil

New global activity for Fremantle Media Kids and Family Entertainment has seen the firm sign three new licensing agents in Middle East, France and Brazil for its hit series, Tree Fu Tom.

The latest activity also sees the property pick up a new toy distribution partner in the Middle East called Toy Triangle. The company will distribute Giochi Preziosi’s Tree Fu Tom toy range.

Biplano has been appointed to represent the licensing and promotional rights for the pre-school brand in France and Giochi Preziosi’s first product range is due to launch at retail in the territory this year.

The latest signings follow from the initial international launch of the toys in Israel, Spain and Portugal.

In the UK, the toy range experienced strong sales in Q4 of 2013 and saw the Ultimate Tom toy sell out in many retailers. As new episodes prepare to air on CBeebies this spring/summer, the success is expected to continue throughout the year.

Carl Lumbard, head of global licensing, FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment, said: "Tree Fu Tom is captivating children around the world and spreading its magic overseas.

"With the property now screening in over 75 territories and an ever increasing number of high class licensing and toy agent appointed in countries across the world, Tree Fu tom is well on its way to becoming a global franchise."
