UFC inks sponsorship deal with 7-Eleven

UFC is joining forces with convenience store, 7-Eleven, which will see the chain serve as the brand’s first-ever Official Convenience Store throughout the US and Canada.

To mark the partnership, a peel-to-win BIG GULP sweepstake will kick off on September 1st, with more than 1.8 million prizes up for grabs at 7-Eleven locations.

“7-Eleven is one of the world’s most innovative and consumer-friendly brands and we’re thrilled to launch this new sponsorship,” said Brette Sadler, VP of global partnership activation at UFC.

“We look forward to continuing our ongoing engagements with consumers in the US and Canada with new and exciting fan activations, such as our BIG GULP sweepstakes.”

In addition to the sweepstakes and product placement inside UFC’s Octagon, 7-Eleven will also be integrated across UFC’s social and digital platforms, as well as live programming.

Maria Trujillo, marketing director at 7-Eleven, added: “UFC has a huge fan base of both male and female young adults who like to shop at convenience stores, making this promotion a great match-up.

“With one in four of those UFC convenience store shoppers choosing 7-Eleven, that leaves a lot of potential to reach an untapped audience that is important to us. I believe this collaboration that includes exclusive UFC merchandise and a prize on every Big Gulp cup provides a great incentive to entice even more fans to shop at 7-Eleven.”
