Uglydoll secures KFC China kids’ meal promotion

The Uglydoll brand has secured a retail promotion partnership with KFC China to offer various products through the restaurant’s kids’ meals.

In a deal brokered by the firm’s Asian licensing agent Global Pursuit, Uglydoll premiums will be offered at more than 4000 KFC locations throughout China.

Based on the renowned plush toy, books and character products, the Uglydoll brand was first introduced to the Chinese market in 2013 an has since grown its licensing portfolio across apparel, accessories and more.

The latest deal with KFC will run until the end of July this year.

“Uglydoll promotes a happy, fun and healthy outlook on life which is completely aligned with KFC’s kids meal’s brand positioning,” said Cynthia Money, president of Global Pursuit.

“We are very excited to partner with KFC China on this amazing promotional campaign that will deliver Uglydoll premiums directly into the hands of kids and teens throughout every major city in China.

“Between the in-store giveaways and the print and television support, this is an extraordinary opportunity for Uglydoll and solidifies KFC as the restaurant preferred by China’s young consumers.”
