Endemol Shine has shed more light on its recently revealed plans for a Peaky Blinders video game, turning to the UK game publisher Curve Digital to carry out the task.
Developed under a three-pronged partnership between Endemol Shine, Caryn Mandabach Productions and Curve Digital, the official Peaky Blinders game will launch next year on PC and console.
Curve Digital and the award-winning game studio FuturLab will work with Endemol Shine Group to develop and publish a narrative action game inspired by the critically acclaimed, gangster drama that stars Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy. With a story driven design, players will be able to control characters from the series as they navigate the distinctive Peaky Blinders universe, featuring locations as notorious as The Garrison… and presumably Thomas Shelby’s bedroom.
Show creator Steven Knight said: “Peaky Blinders has become a cultural phenomenon and will manifest in lots of different media in the coming years. I’m really excited by all of these developments.”

A Caryn Mandabach Productions and Tiger Aspect Production for the BBC, Peaky Blinders was created and written by Steven Knight. The series is distributed by Endemol Shine International across more than 180 countries and has won multiple awards including the 2018 BAFTA for Best Drama Series.

This is the latest in a slate of major licensing partnerships for the Peaky Blinders IP. A recent collaboration with David Beckham’s British menswear label Kent & Curwen will launch to retail this autumn/winter.
In addition, the first phase of leading licensees for the Peaky Blinders brand have been appointed including independent publisher Michael O’Mara Books, and leading manufacturers and distributors Bravado, Corsair, GB Eye, Danilo and BB Designs.
Last year it was announced that in the UK, the show will move from BBC Two to BBC One for its fifth series which will air later this year. Peaky Blinders series four was BBC Two’s biggest drama series of 2017 with an average of 3.3 million consolidated viewers. It had a peak episode volume of 3.6 million for the series finale, the biggest audience for an episode of Peaky Blinders ever.
