Unilever’s Matey seals deal with H&A

Unilever UK is to expand its licensing portfolio, teaming up with toiletry and bathtime specialist, H&A.

The deal will see Matey – the UK’s number one kids bathing brand – launch a selection of bath accessories from spring 2014.

These will include Matey Magic Facecloth, Matey Character Nail Brushes, Matey Bathtime Skittles and Matey Bath Crayons.

"We’re delighted to announce our exciting new licensing partnership with leading washing and bathing products supplier, H&A," said Julie McCleave, head of licensing at Unilever UK. "We are confident that bringing Unilever’s iconic bathtime brand Matey to market in a selection of bath accessories will be a winning combination for retailers.

"Matey is an instantly recognisable bathtime brand and a perfect fit for H&A due to their experience and expertise in the washing and bathing sector for over 25 years."

Holly Davies, marketing manager at H&A, added: "Matey is an iconic bathtime brand, loved by all the family. Grandparents and parents remember the trusted, novelty bubble bath from their childhood and children love the fun characters and signature bottle."

The new Matey bath accessories range will feature bubble bath character Max and Molly.
