Universal Pictures International has set a new record at the international box office for the highest-grossing year ever with $3.78billion.
The studio has released four out of the five internationally highest-grossing films of 2015 so far, with Furious 7 at number one with $1.162billion, Jurassic World at two with $983.5million and Minions at four with $670.2million.
Fifty Shades of Grey completed its run at number five having amassed $404.1million.
Jurassic World opened at number one in 69 territories, making it the largest worldwide opening weekend ever, reports Fortune. It was also the fastest film to reach the $1billion milestone, just 13 days after its release.
In a year of new milestones, Universal was also the fastest studio to reach the $2billion and $3billion mark at the international box office.
