Fort Myers-based burger and craft beer restaurant, Ford’s Garage has secured a deal with the Ford Motor Company.
The agreement means that the chain is the first in its industry to be issued rights to the iconic blue oval logo and Ford’s brand imagery, including archived historical photographs, images of vehicles and actual Model-Ts.
Ford’s Garage current has three locations, with a long-term goal being to open an outlet in South East Michigan, the state which hosts Ford Motor Company’s world headquarters, The Henry Ford Museum and Motor City.
"The casual dining industry allows us to bring the brand experience directly to the customer’s table," said John Nens, global brand licensing at Ford Motor Company. "We are looking forward to expanding the Ford’s Garage establishments around the nation and in our home state."
The décor of the outlets includes auto mechanic jumpsuit uniforms, gas nozzle door pulls, hose clamp napkin holders, glass-paned garage bay doors, vintage fuel pumps and oil barrels, Ford memorabilia, an antique car horn which sounds when something notable happens at the bar, Model-Ts and Model-As, plus an ice rail built into the bar.
Ford’s Garage co-founder, Mike McGuigan, commented: "Both companies share a passion for quality first and foremost."
