This follows the Iron Throne Ale which sold out in a matter of days.

US: Game of Thrones ‘Take the Black’ stout launches

The night may be dark and full of terrors, but at least there’s a new Game of Thrones beer to help you through.

This officially licensed beverage from HBO Global Licensing and Brewery Ommegang, Take the Black, is a new seven per cent stout. It’s inspired by the Night’s Watch from the popular fantasy TV/book series.

Take the Black will debut this autumn.

The beer’s label features the sacred Weirwood tree where those who worship the old gods – such as Jon Snow – take the Night’s Watch oath.

It’s an original design created specifically for the bottle by a52 – the same studio that created the title design for the show’s opening credits.

The Take the Black Stout follows the Iron Throne Ale, which hit stores earlier this year and sold out in the US in a matter of days. On Brewery Ommegang’s online store, 287 Game of Thrones branded glasses sold on the first day alone.

"To satiate the appetite of beer-drinking Game of Thrones fans with the new brew, Brewery Ommegang will double the final volumes of the previous Iron Throne Ale," read a statement.
