The collection will allow fans of the sci-fi series to pledge allegiance to their favourite clone with character-inspired lines.

US: Hot Topic readies Orphan Black clothing line

Hot Topic is launching an Orphan Black clothing collection, allowing fans of the sci-fi series to dress as their favourite clone.

The new line will launch exclusively in Hot Topic stores across the US from April 13th and will feature designs based on the four main clone characters, all played by Tatiana Maslany.

Fans and fashionistas will be able to pledge their allegiance to Sarah Manning, Alison Hendrix, Cosima Niehaus and Helena Price in the collection featuring character inspired scarfs to replicas of Helena and Sarah’s jackets.

“We are obsessed with Orphan Black here at Hot Topic, and are ecstatic to be given the opportunity to work with the amazing team at Temple Street to design a collection inspired by the four main clones,” said Cindy Levitt, senior VP of merchandising and marketing at Hot Topic.

“The detail in each clone’s outfit is so tied to her character and personality that you have to look more than once to catch everything. So, look closely for embroidered stick figures and zipper pulls, Helena’s wigs – even Alison’s glue gun. These pieces were so much fun to create.”

Produced by Temple Street Productions, season three of Orphan Black will hit screens on April 18th on BBC America.

“We are thrilled to be the first television show to inspire the new fashion collection for Hot Topic,” said John Young, managing director, Temple Street Productions.

“This partnership further solidifies our audience’s connection with this show and further extends the Orphan Black brand beyond the smallscreen. We are excited for the fans to get their hands on these collectable items.”
