Sinatra Select brand will land in retailers across the US this month

US: Jack Daniel’s introduces Sinatra Select

In honour of the legendary relationship between Jack Daniel’s and Frank Sinatra, the whiskey firm has created Sinatra Select, a premium expression of the famous spirit.

Previously only available in international duty free retailers and Tennessee, the Sinatra Select brand will land in retailers across the US this month.

Using specially developed Sinatra Barrels to give the product a ‘darker rich amber colour’ through ‘exposing the spirit to extra layers of toasted wood’ the barrels were mingled with classic Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and bottled at 90 proof.

The smooth, bold character of the whiskey is meant to embody the smooth, bold character of the man known to many as The Voice.

Featuring lmited edition packaging, the box and bottle both feature nods to Sinatra’s signature and iconic fedora hat.

"This fine Tennessee Whiskey, or Old No 7 as he referred to it, was a favourite part of my father’s life and he loved both sharing it with his friends and introducing it to new acquaintances," said Frank Sinatra Jr.

"I am very pleased to continue to be a part of the Jack Daniel’s family and feel the introduction of Sinatra Selects is an appropriate tribute as we near my father’s 100th birthday in 2015."

Jeff Arnett, master distiller at Jack Daniel’s, added: "Jack Daniel’s enjoyed an esteemed friendship with the Chairman, in many thanks to our dedicated salesman at the time, Angelo Lucchesi, who understood the power of personal connection.

"Frank drew in a crowd by beginning his performances with a toast of Jack. Sinatra Select is a partnership between his family and ours at Jack Daniel’s to honour that long-standing, personal affinity.

"We couldn’t be more proud to salute our legendary friend."
