US: Kong sleepwear on the way from Komar

41 Entertainment and Arad Animation have signed a deal with Komar Kids to create a range of sleepwear based on the upcoming Netflix show, Kong: King of the Apes.

The deal will see layered garments, sets, robes and blanket sleepers launch in the United States and Canada.

“Komar is a high quality licensee that makes great product and I am happy to be in business with them," said Avi Arad, CEO of Arad.

Michael Salomon, VP, sales at Komar added: “We just returned from the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas and this property really made an impression on us.

"We are happy to join Netflix and MGA as early licensees. It’s an honour to partner up again with the great people at 41E and we look forward to expanding our relationship with Kong and working to grow this evergreen brand.”

Allen Bohbot, managing director of 41E, added: “We are working with Komar already and love their product designs and quality. This was a natural extension and we welcome them to the Kong family as we look to build the full L&M programme worldwide.”

Kong: King of the Apes debuts on Netflix worldwide in spring 2016.
