Marvel Entertainment has launched the first range of official licensed merchandise inspired by the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series co-created by Joss Whedon.
Products based on the show include T-shirts, accessories, and posters which are now available for purchase at ABC.com, Marvel.com, Hot Topic and other specialty retailers.
“The breakout success of our new primetime ABC series further underscores the unmatched affinity that fans have for the Marvel brand,” said Paul Gitter, senior vice president, licensing, Marvel at Disney Consumer Products.
“This new consumer products line will give fans a great jumping off point to enjoy the new series and to extend their passion for Agent Coulson and the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization.”
The series sees Clark Gregg star as Agent Phil Coulson as he leads a team of agents to ‘to investigate the new, the strange and the unknown around the globe’.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. opened as No. 1 in the time period with Adults 18-49 in the US, and the show will land on UK screens tonight at 20:00 on Channel 4.
