Nine Skylanders Giants toys will be found in McDonald’s kids’ Happy Meals up until May 2nd.
Plus, customers will also be able to find $10 coupons for the Skylanders Giants game.
It’s Activision’s first partnership with the McDonald’s USA restaurant chain. The promotion will head to other countries later this year.
Skylanders Giants toys found in Happy Meals include Spyro, Gill Grunt, Drobot, Chop Chop, Ignitor, Jet-Vac, Tree Rex, Crusher and Kaos.
They are based on the $1 billion video game and action figure toy line which first arrived in late 2011.
McDonald’s will support the three-week promotion with a marketing campaign that includes TV ads, in-restaurant merchandising, custom packaging and a website and social media presence online.
"The Skylanders Giants Happy Meal illustrates how strong the Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure and Skylanders Giants brand has become in just 18 months," said Tim Ellis, chief marketing officer at Activision Publishing.
Ashley Maidy, vice president of global licensing and partnerships at Activision Publishing, added: "We’re excited to offer our fans another great way to experience this signature brand, and we couldn’t be more pleased to add McDonald’s to our roster of incredible partners."
