Usborne Publishing, one of the UK’s biggest publishing houses for children’s books is celebrating its 40th anniversary this October, with celebrations taking place on Usborne Day.
On Saturday, October 5th, children’s book shops and booksellers will be encouraged to celebrate 40 years of the publisher with activities and celebrations designed to get customers into their local bookshops.
Participating bookshops who order stock packs worth either RRP £300 or RRP £500 will receive free activities, competitions, Usbourne prizes and decorative point of sale material to help create a day of in-store kids events.
The free point of sale material includes, t-shirts, bags, badges, bookmarks, bunting, window stickers, balloons, activity sheets, colouring sheets, competition packs and an Usborne story book.
The publishing house was founded in 1973 by Peter Usborne, who in 2011 was awarded an MBE in the British New Year’s Honours list for "services to the publishing industry."
