A number of changes will be made to the showfloor at this year’s Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, Advanstar has confirmed.
The show – which runs from June 18th to 20th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center – will be merchandised by category for the first time. It will be split into four key areas: Art and Design, Characters and Entertainment, Agents and Brands, and Fashion.
The new Agents and Brands area will feature a Retail Lounge, Brand Theatre and the LIMA Global Licensing Hub.
"These new initiatives will improve the Licensing Expo visitor experience for our current attendees, while engaging new visitors in this $185 billion+ industry," said Jessica Blue, VP of Licensing Expo. "In doing this, we build on our momentum from 2012 and position the show for growth by appealing to new retailers and manufacturers, welcoming new visitors and exhibitors to the show in 2013."
More than 280 companies have confirmed their presence at Licensing Expo, many with larger spaces.
Disney Consumer Products will move to a new location in the Mandalay Bay ballrooms, where it will host content reviews, meetings and franchise and retail break out sessions.
In addition, Nickelodeon has significantly increased its presence, while Saban Brands has also expanded following a year of growth.
