Beanstalk will take tapas bar and dining destination into food and non-food categories.

VEGAS 2013: Spanish restaurant La Tasca to extend brand

Spanish restaurant chain La Tasca will extend its brand across the UK.

The tapas bar and dining destination will be represented by global brand licensing agency Beanstalk, and will focus on key food and non-food categories.

The food products will be inspired by head chef Antony Bennett’s most popular dishes, while the non-food categories include cookware, publishing and gift items.

With 42 restaurants across the UK and five in the US, La Tasca specialty tapas restaurants have been bringing authentic Spanish cuisine to diners for 20 years.

Ciarán Coyle, President of Beanstalk, Europe & Asia Pacific, commented: "As consumers look to recreate authentic dining experiences at home, La Tasca is well placed to bring the vibrancy and color of Spanish food and culture into new categories on the High Street. La Tasca is an exciting client for Beanstalk as we continue to grow our portfolio of food and restaurant brands."

David Pepper, People Director at La Tasca Tapas Bar and Restaurant, added: "There is significant demand in the UK for authentic Spanish cuisine and we are excited by the prospect of being able to offer Chef Antony’s carefully crafted recipes outside our restaurants for our customers to enjoy at home.

"We are very pleased to be working with Beanstalk, one of the world’s most experienced specialist agencies, to deliver exciting new brand extensions through licensing."
