Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is looking to buid on its international licensing programme, exhibiting at Licensing Expo for the first time.
The Premier League club has developed a portfolio of over 40 licensees worldwide across a range of product categories.
As well as a strong network of UK licensees benefitting from access to the Club’s traditional fanbase at home, there are now greater opportunities for overseas partners to engage with the growing global following, particularly in the US.
A successful pre-season tour last summer, a technical partnership with sportswear giant Under Armour and a squad of top players has led to a number of new supporters clubs in the country more than doubling over the past year.
The club also recently signed a deal with US sports retail giant Sports Endeavors, which has developed a line of bespoke Spurs apparel and gifts.
"Our involvement at Licensing Expo 2013 highlights the importance Tottenham Hotspur are placing on the area of licensing and meeting an increased demand for club product," said Gary Jacobson, brand licensing manager for the club.
"We hope to use this fantastic opportunity to meet with potential new international licensees and display the benefits that we can provide to those who come on board with us."
