Rovio and Intel have joined forces with mobile advertising specialist Jumptap to launch a fully branded Angry Birds experience on Facebook.
The game launch marks the beginning of a year-long collaboration between Angry Birds and Intel-inspired Ultrabook devices.
Fans can find the game through the Intel and Angry Birds Facebook pages. An Intel-blue circuit board serves as background to the game, as fans are transported into the brand Angry Birds world, including a new blue and yellow slingshot, Intel Core chips and mini circuit boards.
The game offers scoreboards that can be shared on Facebook and serve as a challenge to friends. The game also gives players a chance to learn more about Intel-inspired Ultrabook devices.
"Our top priority is to surprise and delight our fans," said Peter Vesterbacka, CMO at Rovio. "The game is a great way to experience all the fun of Angry Birds in a brand new environment, inspired by Intel's spectacular new technology."
David Veneski, Intel's US media director, added: "Angry Birds has an exceptional following both in its mobile and social channels. In 2012, we're focused on building out the Ultrabook category and targeting an audience that is younger than we've marketed to in the past."
