Rovio Entertainment has confirmed that Angry Birds will be soaring above the streets of New York in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
A balloon of a still to be revealed Angry Birds character from the franchise’s first cinematic release will make its debut at the iconic event, to be held on November 26th this year.
Rovio has now signed a three year deal, confirming its involvement in the event until 2017.
This year's Parade is expected to attract over 3.5 million spectators as they line the streets of Manhattan, while a further 57 million viewers are predicted to tune into the live broadcast.

“The partnership kick-starts the promotional campaign for the highly anticipated Angry Birds movie and underpins our long term commitment to Angry Birds, a world leading entertainment franchise with gaming at its heart.”
The Angry Birds movie is scheduled for worldwide release on May 20th, 2016.
