Video games publisher Ubisoft has appointed CPLG as its new European licensing agent for three of its properties - Rabbids, Just Dance and Imagine.
CPLG is now planning to extend the existing programme for Raving Rabbids - which were created in 2006 and have sold over nine million video games worldwide - extending it into new markets and product areas.
Just Dance, meanwhile, has potential across the apparel, accessories and fitness categories, while the firm is aiming to develop a programme for Imagine which complements its position as a lifestyle brand for tween girls.
"Ubisoft is known for creating some of the most rich entertainment properties in the video game industry," said Alain Corre, executive director for EMEA territories at Ubisoft. "It was imperative for us to find a top-notch partner who could bring dynamism and quality to a pan-European merchandising programme and we are satisfied that we've found that partner in CPLG."
Steve Manners, EVP and director of entertainment at CPLG, added: "Working with Ubisoft on these incredibly successful and entertaining brands brings a new dimesion to our portfolio. Ubisoft are an incredibly innovative and supportive partner and we are all very excited at the potential of extending these brands into new sectors."
