Electronic Arts is teaming with Paramount Digital Entertainment for Rango The Video Game.

The game is due to launch in March 2011 on Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo consoles, alongside the film, which is Paramount's first full length animated movie.

"Rango is a one of a kind character that we know kids will love," said Sinjin Bain, VP of EA Partners at Electronic Arts. "We're excited to give families worldwide the opportunity to take the humour and fun from the big screen into their living rooms."

Tom Lesinski, president of Paramount Digital Entertainment, added: "We've added exciting twists and turns in the video game that will challenge players of all levels on their adventures as Rango."
