CPLG has hired Asylum Entertainment as the video game partner for publishing and broadcast hit Horrid Henry.
The Nintendo DS and Wii title will arrive in time for Christmas 2009 and will see the player take on Henry's persona in well-known locations, heading out on 'missions of mischief'.
Players will be able to play against family and friends, either as Henry or another character, pitted against each other in a range of special multi-player challenges.
"Asylum's enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of the Horrid Henry brand make them the perfect partner in this high profile category," said Susan Bolsover, category director at CPLG. "Their recent success with Peppa Pig, not to mention their heritage in creating games for major brands including Scooby-Doo and Teletubbies, bodes well for the Horrid Henry game and its appeal to fans."
Jamie Cason, senior game producer at Asylum, added: "Taking this outstanding kids brand to DS and Wii consoles is a fantastic opportunity to put fun, irreverence and humour back into gaming."
CPLG's licensing programme for Horrid Henry continues to go from strength to strength.
