Intent Media launches market research service

Paid for content to be introduced to leading trade websites, with mobile and video games reports leading the way.

Intent Media, one of the UK’s leading b2b publishing companies, is to start selling specialist market reports across a number of its websites – some generated by its own editorial teams and some from selected third party partners.

The service is already live on the Mobile Entertainment website – – which recently introduced a dedicated REPORTS section to its home page. It includes the Entertainment Retailers Association’s highly regarded Yearbook as well as exclusive, original data on the iPad and tablet market and mobile billing systems.

In July the firm’s flagship brand, MCV – – will launch its own market research section. It will feature a wealth of data examining the current challenges and future evolution of the UK and international video game industry.

A deal has already been struck with one of the market’s leading qualitative research companies, Some Research. This will give MCV readers instant access to a series of Brand Maps – highly focused reports that deliver unique insights into awareness, pattern of play, quality rating, demographics, buying patterns, etc.

PCR, the leading trade media brand for the computer and IT industry, will launch a similar service later in the year. There are also plans to offer reports via Intent Media’s other trade brands, including, Toy News and Develop.

Intent Media’s managing director Stuart Dinsey offered: “We are in the middle of an extensive programme of improvement and expansion across all our sites. The ability to offer our readers top quality market research, from our in-house teams and specialist partners such as Some Research.

"The newly launched section of really is just the tip of the iceberg. By the end of the year we will be offering an array of reports, at a wide range of price points in sectors including video games, IT, toys, licensing, musical instruments and others.”
