Rovio, the team behind the hit Angry Birds franchise, has appointed a new executive vice president of its games business unit and member of leadership team in Alexandre Pelletier-Normand.
In his new role, he will be responsible for Rovio's game studios and game development and will report directly to Rovio's CEO, Kati Levoranta. He will start in this role on January 2, 2019.
Alexandre Pelletier-Normand has broad experience in game development and management. He will join Rovio from Gameloft, where he spent 15 years in roles ranging from programmer to studio head and culminating to the position of executive vice president in charge of games.
A Canadian citizen, Alexandre Pelletier-Normand has set up and managed game studios in the US, Canada, Vietnam, Argentina and Brazil; he will be moving with his family to Finland from France.

Alexander Pelletier-Normand has a Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics and computer science from Sherbrooke University, Canada.
