Rovio partners with NFL for Angry Birds/Super Bowl promotion

New Super Bowl-themed content will be available in Angry Birds 2 for a limited time.

Rovio has partnered with the NFL for a promotion for one of the biggest sporting events of the year, the Super Bowl.

Exclusive new content will be coming to both Angry Birds 2 and Angry Birds Evolution, bringing Super Bowl LII-themed outfits to the game, with 32 official NFL jerseys and helmets to compete in brand new Super Bowl-themed game levels as well as in-game competitions.

The Angry Birds Evolution Super BowlLII event adds 32 NFL characters into the game, and players have the chance to get an exclusive new bird character called the ‘Quarterback’, who will be outfitted in an NFL team jersey. In ‘Player Versus Player’ mode, ‘The Oinktagon’, gets a complete SuperBowl LII makeover as it is transformed into a football field.
