Rovio to cut 213 jobs and refocus on games, media and consumer products

The company will provide career support for those made redundant.
Publish date:

Rovio Entertainment, the creator of Angry Birds, has concluded its employee negotiations and, as a result, will reduce its workforce by 213 positions.

The cuts are across the developer’s global offices and affect every department, excluding the division working on next year's Angry Birds movie.

The firm will now restructure and concentrate its activities around three primary business areas: games, media and consumer products.

Rovio will actively provide career support for those made redundant as a result of the reorganization.
