Fans of the Talking Tom and Friends app will now be able to create their own merchandise based on the property's popular characters.

Outfit 7 has signed a deal with the London-based tech start up and licensing company Merchant to deliver a range of apparel.

Merchant will launch Talking Tom and Friends Merchmaker on August 27th.

The Merchmaker will allow fans across the UK and Ireland to create their own Talking Tom and Friends merchandise using the firm’s interactive personalisation system.

Youngsters will be able to adorn a wide range of apparel and accessories with character images and quotes from the property.

“The Talking Tom and Friends Merchmaker is a new, exciting touchpoint for consumers to engage with the Talking Tom and Friends brand,” said Angeles Blanco, senior director of licensing and merchandising at Outfit 7’s UK subsidiary.

“The partnership with Merchant is a great fir for our brand, as it centers on interactivity, fun and consumer engagement, attributes that are at the core of Talking Tom and Friends.”

Established in 2012, Merchant uses interactive platforms connected to social media to deliver licensed product ranges, spanning film, TV, apps and gaming.

“Merchant is very excited to be working with Outfit 7 on the Talking Tom and Friends Merchamaker,” said Charlotte Clisby, head of business development at Merchant.

“We believe that this product will give fans the opportunity to create something truly personal to them.”
