TCC partners with Rovio on Angry Birds

Retail promotion specialist picks up hit franchise.

Retail marketing specialist TCC has been granted a global licence for retail loyalty promotions for Rovio's hit Angry Birds franchise.

The multi-year agreement means TCC has worldwide rights in a wide range of distribution channels including supermarkets, drug stores, health and beauty chains, garages and convenience stores.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with Rovio on Angry Birds, a franchise that has rapidly achieved global penetration with broad demographic appeal that is perfectly suited to TCC's whole-store approach to loyalty programmes," said Nicole Piper, VP, marketing and licensing at TCC USA.

Claes Kalborg, Rovio's SVP, brand and licensing strategy, added: "We consider this partnership to be an integral part of our strategy to extend the Angry Birds property outside the digital environments."
