Ubisoft launches Star Trek VR game

The game has hit the Playstation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive and will come packed in with all new Vive headsets sold.

Video game publisher Ubisoft has launched a VR game based on the original Star Trek TV series in the form of Star Trek: Bridge Crew for Playstation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

As one of the first big multiplatform VR releases of the year so far, Bridge Crew sees friends gathering in a multiplayer setting to fulfill the various roles of the the USS Enterprise's or new ship the USS Aegis' crew. There is also a voyages mode that features randomised missions for solo players.

Additonally, HTC has confirmed that the game will come packed in with all new HTC Vive headsets sold going forward.
