Blue Planet Software and its licensing partner Licensing Works have responded to “strong demand” for Tetris-branded products by sanctioning a number of new deals.
Leslie Levine, head of Licensing Works, detailed the new lines: “Products include table top, board, dice and single player strategy games, lottery ticket programs, t-shirts, mugs, wall graphics, furniture, novelty watches, and silicone bracelets, to name a few.”
Other deals still in negotiation include Tetris consumables, slot machines, plush and room decor.
Lisa Linnenkohl, head of licensing, Tetris said: "By expanding into non-electronic merchandising, we have a unique opportunity to broaden our demographic reach and further solidify our brand—something few video games are able to accomplish after 27 years.
"The Tetris brand is a lifestyle brand and new merchandise product categories will soon be in retail stores around the world."
Since its release in 1986, Tetris has established itself as an evergreen digital property, netting over 132 million paid mobile downloads to date.
The new range of Tetris products are being showcased and previwed at booth 5628.
