Wand Company reveals new Sonic Screwdrivers

In response to strong consumer demand, The Wand Company is launching the Tenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Remote Control this summer.

3D scanned from the original screen-used prop, loaned to the firm by David Tennant himself – the Screwdriver is CNC machined from aluminium and is a fully functioning gesture-based universal remote control that looks, feels and works just like the real prop.

Previewing on the ThinkGeek booth at San Diego Comic-con in July, it will be available through selected retailers in the UK, US and Australia in October.

In addition, The Wand Company will be further commemorating Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary year with the launch of a limited edition gold and silver plated version of the Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Remote Control.

Just 250 of the individually laser-numbered Sonic Screwdrivers will be made.
