Warner Bros Consumer Products has struck up a new partnership with Monlove to bring Scooby-Doo to the stage with an original live production.
The new deal is part of the ongoing celebrations surrounding Scooby-Doo’s 50th anniversary and will see the show presented in large scale theatres. Warner has highlighted the project as a first of its kind to ‘combine cutting edge technology and exceptional music, puppetry, magic, singing, dance, interactive audience response video, arial arts and video mapping.’
Titled Scooby-Doo and the Lost City of Gold, the production is slated to premiere in March 2020 and continue on a global, five-year tour visiting more than 30 countries around the world.
The show’s original concept, book, music and lyrics will be created by Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson the powerhouse team behind hit shows including Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure which toured 48 countries, was translated in 12 languages and grossed over $100 million.
Monlove is also the mastermind behind The Nut Job Live & Friends, Holiday on Ice Energia and as music producers and composers for several Cirque du Soleil shows including KÀ, Zed, and Mystère, Alegria (Arena) & Saltimbanco (Arena).
