Transformers director Michael Bay is producing, and may still direct the big screen adaptation

Writers come on board for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon movie

Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia have come on board as screenwriters for Warner Bros. and Ubisoft Motion Pictures’ upcoming Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon movie, reports Variety.

The film, based on the video game series, already has a producer in Michael Bay, who may still join the project as director after finishing his duties on Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Federman and Scaia have also penned the script for Sony’s upcoming Zorro reboot and are currently finishing the screenplay for Y: The Last Man, a movie based on the graphic novel.

The Ghost Recon games have sold more than 24 million copies and the most recent title, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, landed in 2012.
