WWE Superstar Rusev delights crowds at Argos with Leeds store meet and greet

WWE Superstar, Rusev punched his way out of a life-sized toy box at an Argos store in Leeds to celebrate a new offer on WWE toys at Argos over the weekend.

Hundreds of fans gathered to meet the three-time United States Champion, with queues reportedly stretching around the Leeds Headrow store.

Known as the ‘Bulgarian Brute’, Rusev is a crowd favourite who was unbeaten for nearly a year following his debut year in WWE. The Superstar made a point to not just defeat his opponents, but ‘crush’ them.

As he burst through the wrapping of his Elite Collection toy box, he shouted “Rusev Crush!” to the delight of his fans.

All Argos customers can benefit from 20 per cent off selected WWE toys from today until Tuesday, November 12 by using the discount code TOYS20.

Among the discounted toys is the Mattel WWE Wrekkin’ Performance Centre Playset. The toy is inspired by the WWE training centre where Superstars workout and hone their skills. The playset features three destructive areas including a backstage gym area, collapsible scaffolding, a breakaway sign, and collapsible ring.

Fans who attended the signing still have the chance to win a WWE toy bundle by uploading a picture from the event to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #ArgosWWE.

Andrew Hartley, toys buying manager at Argos, said: “Rusev absolutely ‘crushed’ this fan meet and greet, with hundreds of people flocking to Argos in Leeds to get a picture with their hero. WWE toys have long been a firm favourite with our customers, and they’re proving to be incredibly popular Christmas gifts.”
