Xilam signs distribution deal with UYoung in China

French animation studio Xilam and UYoung Media have announced plans to close a major distribution deal, which ensures a strong representation of Xilam’s properties in China at ATF Singapore.

The new partnership takes Xilam into the Chinese market for the first time, building on from the strong presence of its vast brand portfolio in India and South East-Asia.

UYoung will broadcast animated show Oggy and the Cockroaches, as well as hosting it on VOD, covering seasons two, three and four. The firm will do the same for pre-school series Paprika and wildlife show, If I Were An Animal.

Clara Yang, general manager of UYoung Acquisition and Distribution, said: “It is exciting to become the exclusive agent for Xilam on Oggy & the Cockroaches, If I were an Animal and Paprika.

"We strongly believe these titles will be welcomed by many viewers across multi-platforms in China.”
