YouTube celebrity, Oli White is on board to present a new factual magazine series commissioned by the CBBC, called Cinemaniacs.
Aimed at six to 12 year old film fans, Cinemaniacs explores all facets of film, from making to watching to celebrate movie culture across the UK.
The show will feature regular slots from the award-winning actor Michael Sheen in the strand called Michael Sheen: Super Actor, appearances from acclaimed directors such as Ron Howard and a slot with Sir Ian McKellen.
20 year old YouTuber, Oli White – famed for creating weekly comedy and entertainment videos for a transatlantic audience – will lead the feature with celebrity interviews and more.
“This is something I have always wanted to do,” said White. “I love the movies and I am super excited about being involved in this project.”
Lucinda Whiteley, executive producer of Cinemaniacs and co-founder of Novel Entertainment, added: “Oli is a fantastic example of someonw who has taken film production in to his own hands – building a loyal following and a thriving career from his YouTube channel.
“We hope he will help to inspire and empower a new wave of young filmmaking enthusiasts to do the same through the Cinemaniacs series.”
