Zak Storm sees ‘excellent ratings’ in Spain with first licensees named

Zak Storm, the latest series from the creators of Miraculous Ladybug, has premiered in Spain to ‘excellent ratings,’ and has secured its first licensing agreements across the region.

The series launched on Clan in October 2017 and has achieved above the channel’s average ratings, becoming its second most watched action-series in January.

Initial licensing agreements – each secured by Planeta Junior – include deals with Airval, Artesanias Cerda, Panini, Dolci Preziosi and more.

“We are delighted with ZakStorm’s launch in Spain, Antonella Ceraso, country manager of Planeta Junior, told

“These first agreements cover key sections of the licensing programme and we’re sure the ZakStorm phenomenon is going to be as big as ladybug in Spain and Portugal. We will soon be announcing exciting new deals for this property and hope children enjoy ZakStorm in all kinds of ancillary products.”

The Zak Storm brand is based on the animated adventure comedy of the same name produced by ZAG and Man of Action Entertainment. Zak Storm tells the adventures of teen surfer Zak who discovers a magic sword that allows him to become a maverick hero.
