John Adams will roll out game based on ITV quiz show in time for key Christmas period.

Zodiak Rights strikes deal for Tipping Point board game

Zodiak Rights has secured a deal with John Adams to create a board game version of popular ITV quiz show, Tipping Point.

Currently in its fifth season, the show – which is hosted by Ben Shepherd – sees four players competing against a distinctive machine in a battle of luck and skill. It is the highest rated daytime programme on ITV and also boasts a successful celebrity spin-off, Tipping Point: Lucky Stars.

The Tipping Point app was also ranked the ninth most downloaded paid for app for the iPad last year.

The game will be in stores in time for Christmas 2015, and will include a battery operated, table top replica of the Tipping Point machine.

"We’re delighted to be able to bring the excitement of Tipping Point to the living room, which is our first venture with the team at John Adams Leisure," said Gary Woolf, head of digitial, business development and insight, at Zodiak Rights.

"We already know there’s a keen appetite to play the game at home following the success of the app – so having a mini Tipping Point machine will provide entertainment for the whole family."
